New Year’s Resolutions for Skin Care

The New Year is the perfect time to make personal commitments that will help improve ourselves. The first step is to identify the changes we want to make. The next step is to have the personal determination) to follow through on the changes. With this in mind, here are some suggested New Year’s resolutions to help you have the best looking skin possible.

1) Establish a Daily Skin Care Routine
Those who invest time and effort in caring for their skin, will realize the benefits and see the results.

2) Reduce Stress
Try to reduce stress in your life as much as possible. Take time to do the things that make you feel happy and relaxed.

3) Wear Sunscreen Every Day
Doctors have long advised wearing sunscreen daily (at least SPF 30) and reapplying it often. The challenge is finding a cream that offers enough protection and doesn't feel like a lead blanket.
OMORFEE recommends you to use natural skin care products on your skin.
Highly suggested – SUNSHUN SUNSCREEN (Order today and don’t be harsh on your gentle skin- http://www.omorfee.com/facial-care/sunshun-sunscreen)

4) The Benefits of Sleep
Get at least 8 hours of sleep each night. When you sleep your body is still working to rid itself of toxins that are detrimental to your skin. Sufficient sleep keeps unattractive dark circles away, reduces stress and revitalizes your entire persona.

5) Keep Your Hands Off Your Face
Yes, it's tempting to squeeze a pimple, but just the act of touching your face with your fingers brings pore-clogging oil and dirt to the skin. How not to pop? Get rid of magnifying mirrors, put "Don't touch" Post-it notes around the house, and grab a squeeze toy to keep your hands busy, especially if certain times of day (morning drive?) trigger the urge.

6) Drink Plenty of Water
Our bodies are comprised mostly of water, approximately 60-70%. Water is essential to life and everything in your body needs it. Water also helps flush toxins out of your system and helps organs function properly.

7) Remove Your Make Up At Night
Wearing makeup can make you look and feel great! However you need to remove it every night. If you don’t, it can mix with dirt and other oils to clog your pores which can cause unsightly break outs.

8) Clean Your Makeup Brushes Once a Week
Unless you won the school science fair, you probably don't realize what can happen when good brushes go bad: Makeup and skin oils build up, creating a breeding ground for bacteria that can cause irritation. Bacteria and oil can accumulate on your makeup brushes, causing clogged pores and breakouts. Use a mild liquid soap with warm water to carefully wash the makeup out of your brushes, then rinse thoroughly. Comb the bristles to prevent tangling. Then dry on a towel overnight or place towel in sunlight. Cosmetic sponges should also be washed with mild soap and rinsed thoroughly after each use.

9) Wash Your Face and Body Right After Exercising
Exercising is one of the best things you can do for yourself. Take a shower as soon as you can after your work out to keep your skin looking clear and clean.  Perspiration and grime left too long on skin can clog pores and cause breakouts.

10) Exfoliate Regularly
As adults, it takes our skin about one month to replenish itself. Skin cells can dry out and loose their luster making our complexions look dull. Boost the renewal process through exfoliating treatments. For best results, exfoliate once or twice a week.

Best recommended product- SKIN PRO BODY POLISHER-  http://www.omorfee.com/body-care/body-polisher/skin-body-polisher

11) Stay with the Program
Once you start a new skin care program, you need to be patient and give it time to work. If you use the products consistently and as directed, you should see results in six weeks or less. If you do not see any change in your skin then chances are these products are not for you.

12) Moisturize After Showering or Bathing
Hot showers and baths feel wonderful but can strip skin of precious oils. Face creams along with body oils and lotions will help replenish skins natural moisture content. For best results, apply creams, lotions and oils right after showering or bathing while skin is still damp.
It’s time to Pamper your skin and order today-

13) Have mercy on your hands
Your hands say a lot about you. With our busy lives, we often forget to take care of our hands. Woman have known for years, that taking care of your hands is vital in maintaining an overall youthful appearance. Many factors can age your hands – exposure to wind, sun and cold. To keep your hands young looking, moisturize them at least twice a day or whenever you think of it. Keep hand cream everywhere you can think of: next to your bedside, in your car, by your desk, in your purse or gym bag. For an intensive overnight treatment, moisturize hands with a rich cream. Then go to sleep with white cotton gloves. In the morning your hands will feel much softer and smoother. Also, protect hands by wearing gloves when doing dishes, housework and gardening.

How To Control Hair Fall in Winter

It is in winters when our hair problems are at their worst. With the cold setting in and lack of moisture in the air, hair problems like dandruff, dryness, hair fall and scalp itchiness are common. While there are many reasons behind hair fall, here are a few common causes that lead to hair fall. Understanding these causes would be a better way of trying to prevent further damage to the hair.

1. Keep The Dandruff Away:
Dandruff is one of the most common issues that occur because of extreme dryness of the scalp. It is one of the main causes of hair fall in winter. Use an anti-dandruff cleanser to prevent hair fall.

2. Don’t Tie Your Hair Too Tight:
Tight ponytails or braids are a big no if you’re trying to control hair fall in winters. Wear your hair loose, even while going to bed.

3. Gentle Combing: In winters, hair is already dry and damaged due to lack of moisture in the air. Try and comb only when required and be as gentle as you can.

4. Have A Healthy Diet:
Have a Healthy Diet: Include loads of vitamins and minerals in your diet by having fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and nuts. Make sure you stay away from processed food, sugary items, and fatty food. This will help control hair fall.

5. Hot Oil Treatment: Using a hot oil treatment during winters is a great way to add nourishment to your hair and prevent hair fall. Apply some warm olive oil or coconut oil on the scalp and the hair strands. Leave it for about 1-2 hours. This should be done at least once a week to give you the desired result.

6. Apply An Avocado Mask: Avocados are supposed to have lots of vitamins and minerals that can deep nourish the hair strands and treat dryness and hair fall. A mask made of mashed avocados can be applied on the hair and left for 45 minutes before washing. Follow it every 7 days to get the results.
Avocado can also be mixed with banana as one of the other masks for the same     treatment.

7. Eggs for Dry Damaged Hair:

The best food for hair is protein because it is made up of protein only. What else than egg can be the best source of high class protein for your dry and damaged hair. Egg yolk is rich in fat and protein and is highly moisturizing that adds lots of moisture to your dehydrated hair. Egg white on the other hand, is loaded with beneficial enzymes that cleanse your hair and scalp to give you a shining bouncy hair. You may simply beat 1-2 eggs and apply to your hair or make a more moisturizing hair mask with eggs as one of the main ingredients. Here’s the recipe.

8. Honey and Olive Oil:

This mask is good for both hair and the scalp. It will make your hair silky, smooth, and shiny.
Add equal parts honey and olive oil into a bowl. Mix well. Apply to damp hair, scalp, and cover your hair with a warm, damp towel. Let it sit for 30 minutes, and then wash off with a mild shampoo.

Does shaving make hair grow FASTER or THICKER?

One of the most pervasive shaving myths of the beard growing field is that using a razor everyday would stimulate beard to grow back thicker, darker, and faster.

Ask almost anyone what they think is the best way to make facial hair grow faster, and you’ll get an answer like this:
“The more you shave the more it grows…”
Even though there’s some logic behind that, it’s still a myth, here’s why:
If the “shaving everyday makes hair grow faster” myth would be true, most men would be able to grow full beards.
This is however, not the case, as shaving does very little to stimulate beard growth.
It may seem like that at first, as the freshly cut ends of the facial hair will feel more dense, and shorter stubble always feels like its thicker than it really is when you let it grow longer.

BUT IN REALITY, NO MATTER HOW OFTEN YOU SHAVE, THE FACIAL HAIR FOLLICLES WILL SPROUT NEW HAIR AT THE SAME RATE.

Remedies to Get Rid of an Itchy Beard

Shampooing and conditioning twice or thrice a week is one of the best home remedies for an itchy beard. Dry skin, that makes the beard itchy while growing, can always be treated by applying the right moisturizer. Here are some useful itchy beard cures, to solve the problem.

  •  Have a look at your current shampoo- An itchy beard indicates that it needs a thorough cleaning. Shampoos are not meant only for your head hair; they can also be used to clean your beard. However, one shouldn't use regular shampoos, as they have not been formulated for beards. You can use a mild baby shampoo or beard soap or shampoo (twice or thrice a week), as these products are designed for this purpose.
  • Condition after you wash- even if you shampoo your beard more often and with a quality product, this might not seem enough.

For this reason, you can also consider adding a conditioner in the mix.       Conditioners lock the moisture in and make hair softer. Besides that, the main reason most women use it for, is because it reduces split ends.
And as you know by now, beard split ends contributes to beard itch.
  • Moisturizer- In some cases, despite using a shampoo and a conditioner regularly, one may still experience an itchy feeling. This indicates that the skin under the beard has become fairly dry, and requires the use of a moisturizer. So, apart from conditioning, make sure that you apply a moisturizer (3 to 4 times in a week) that infuses your skin with deep-down hydration. This too can help to alleviate the itchy feeling associated with dry skin

  • ·        Beard oil for beard itch- Getting a good shampoo or conditioner might solve a part of the problem. What you need next, is a great beard oil to make your beard softer than ever before.

Let’s talk a bit about beard oil.
Highly recommended- Omorfee’s natural Beard Oil.
Now you can get the Moustcahe & Beard that you've always desired without itchiness. 100% Natural.

Embrace your inner beardsman by trying our premium Beard and Moustache Oil- http://www.omorfee.com/facial-care/beard-moustache-oil/beard-oil

It helps in nourishing and providing strength to your moustache and beard.
Our beard oil is proudly made with all natural oils like Jojoba Oil, Argan Oil, Castor Oil, Lemon Essential Oil, Patchouli Oil, Bergamot Oil.

  • Beard brush for softer beards- Trust us, you’re going to enjoy this one. Regular brushing will not only give your beard a clean shape and smooth texture, but it will train hairs to grow in a single direction, reducing the risk of scratching and having more ingrown hairs.  One way that it helps you in your fight against beard itch, is that it takes away dust and debris that your beard accumulates throughout the day.

  •  The right way to cut your beard-

Beard oils, conditioners and balms are all great, but there are other things you could include in your arsenal to reduce the awful itch.Trimming your beard could keep those split ends and spear-like hair follicles from causing chaos. Also, if you let your beard grow long enough, it’s good to keep in mind that length matters. And if you want to avoid the itch, keep it tidy.
There are essentially three tools that you can use to trim, cut and shave your beard. The way you’re using each one of them and the actual device, can help you stop beard itch no matter the beard growth stage you’re at.

Hope the above article helps!

EAT RIGHT TO GROW FACIAL HAIR FASTER

Unfortunately, some men can't seem to grow more than a few thin patches. While you can't change genetic causes of poor or uneven growth, there are several ways you can help encourage your natural facial hair to grow in thicker and fuller. To grow facial hair, commit to the growing process, consider using beard oils and supplements, practice proper skin care, and nourish your body from the inside.

What you eat can have a major impact on all aspects of your physical well-being. This includes healthy skin and healthy hair growth. There are many vitamins that have been found to promote hair growth--including facial hair. Pay attention to your diet, and make sure that you're getting enough of these particular nutrients.

See the list of great hair and beard growing vitamins and what types of foods you can find them in below:
1.       Vitamin A and Beta-Carotene
Vitamin A is and Beta-carotene don’t directly stimulate hair growth because they don’t really have a direct impact on the hair follicle. However, they do in fact maintain and repair skin tissue and it is the effect on the skin which impacts the hair’s growth rate. Your body also converts beta-carotene into vitamin A – it has been suggested to consume foods high in beta-carotene over foods high in vitamin A.
  • Vitamin A is present in milk, cheese, yoghurt and egg yolks.
  • Beta-carotene is typically found in yellow and orange fruit and vegetables, as Beta-carotene is what gives them their colour – yellow fruits such as mango, melon andapricots are a great source of the vitamin.
  • Yellow and green (leafy) vegetables, such as spinach, carrots and red peppers are another great source of beta-carotene.

2.       Vitamin B7 (also known as Biotin)
Biotin is one of the most fundamental vitamins for hair and beard thickness and growth. It promotes cell growth and the production of fatty acids, thus triggering hair growth. For ultimate hair and beard growing benefit, it is best consumed with B-complex vitamins such as B5, B6 and B12.
  • Biotin is found in a large variety of foods but it is particularly rich in egg yolk, liver and yeast.
  • B-complex vitamins can be found in foods such as fish, poultry, leans meats, eggs, nuts, and whole grains such as brown rice and oat meals.
  • Foods that are rich in B12 include beef, milk, cheese and wheat germ.
3.       Omega-3 fatty acids
Omega-3 fatty acids are essential oils which are essential to beard and hair growth and maintaining healthy, thick hair. Omega 3 promotes the production and action of hormones that affect the health, tone, sheen and integrity of your hair. It is also the source of the body’s natural lubricant for the skin and a big contributor to the sebaceous gland responsible for feeding hair follicles.
  • Fish – Salmon, halibut, sardines, albacore, trout, catfish, cod, tuna and herring
  • Shellfish – Shrimp, clams, lobster, crab
  • Nuts and Seeds – Walnuts, almonds and flax seed
  • Oils – Canola oil, natural flax oil

Along with adding healthy foods to your diet, you should also make sure that you drink enough water. Staying well hydrated helps improve skin health and the healthier your skin gets, the better and faster that hair grows.
You should also avoid simple carbohydrates and sugar as this affects the health of your body and in turn the pace of your hair growth.
Last but not the least; You should switch your beard oil from chemical one to organic one. Highly recommended- Omorfee’s Beard & Moustache  oil (http://www.omorfee.com/facial-care/beard-moustache-oil/beard-oil )

TRY SIMPLE HACKS TO AVOID BITING NAILS!

We’ve tried, tried and tried again to kick this habit, but nothing has seemed to work. Whether you’re a constant nail biter or just bite when you’re stressed, you’re not alone.

Nail biting typically begins in childhood and can continue through adulthood, and the side effects can be more than cosmetic. Repeated nail biting can make the skin around your nails feel sore, and it can damage the tissue that makes nails grow, resulting in abnormal-looking nails. Chronic nail biting can also leave you vulnerable to infection as you pass harmful bacteria and viruses from your mouth to your fingers and from your nails to your face and mouth.
Since we’ve all fallen down that path and have bitten our nails once or twice, we’ve put together a list of our favorite tips and tricks to end nail biting forever. If there is a will there is a way, you can overcome this habit and show off your fabulous long nails in no time!

1)    Treat yourself to a manicure as often as you can. You have earned a manicure for reaching your goal to stop biting your nails. Not to mention, having nail polish on may push back the urge to bite your nails, since you don't want to bite into nail polish or ruin your manicure. Once your nails are in great shape, you should focus on keeping them that way, and the best way to show off your shiny new nails is to get a manicure.
2)   Relax: Yoga may actually be the cure for beautiful nails. Biting your nails can come from stress and finding and adopting a healthy habit like yoga can help you relax and take your mind off stress.
3)   Maintain a healthy diet. A healthy diet will help you feel better overall and will help your nails repair and grow well. Eat calcium and magnesium rich foods so that your nails will repair and grow well. Not only that, but most of the reason that the human body wants to bite nails is a lack of calcium and magnesium in the body.
4)   Wear nail polish. Putting nail polish on your nails may help to discourage you from nibbling on them since a vibrant color can catch your attention and snap you out of your nail-biting habit. You'll also have more motivation to avoid biting your nails since you won't want to ruin the nice appearance.
·         Chose a color you like so that you don't peel it off.
·         Get a design. This will make you not want to peel off the polish if you like the design.
·         Make polishing your nails a hobby. If you keep nail polish on long enough, your nails will have a chance to grow back!
5)   Distract yourself: Many people adopt new, healthy habits to get rid of nail biting. Habits such as squeezing a stress ball or playing with a hair elastic are perfect remedies. These new habits will help distract you while ultimately forgetting about your nails.

Improve Your Eyesight Today!

Your eyes are God’s best gift to you. They help you to enjoy the beauty of nature, recognize your near and dear ones and they help you to perform your daily activities. It is natural to lose your sharp vision with age, but there are other factors also that cause damage to your vision. There are many reasons behind eyesight weakness; the most common is uneven lifestyle, watching TV without blinking, working on computer for long hours, fewer nutrition diets, hereditary disorder etc.

1)    Massage over worked eyes
This is a great exercise for people who work for long hours in front of computers. Hold your eyebrows between your thumb and index finger, in such a way that the thumb is above the eyebrow and index finger below. Now, gently press and straighten your eyebrows, exerting gentle pressure on all the points. Then, take your thumb and gently roll it around your eye ball, i.e: along your eye socket. Follow this exercise every three to four hours to improve the circulation around your eyes.  This exercise improves circulation around the eyes helping them bounce back from the fatigue of constantly looking at a computer screen.

2)    Avoid spending prolonged hours on the TV and computer
If you are working on a task that requires your eyes to focus for a long period of time, be sure to take regular breaks. It is advisable to take a ten minute break for every one hour. This will prevent eye strain and give some time for your eyes to relax.
3)    Feed Your Eyes to Improve Vision (Foods to Get Better Eyesight)
Foods such as carrots, kale, blueberries, apricots, spinach and many more are proven to be effective in improving vision. There are also some herbs to improve eyesight naturally such as bilberry, ginkgo and passionflower. But here are the five foods that works miracles on your eyesight :
• Carrots.
This has always been the secret of good vision. Carrots are high in beta-carotene. And when your body ingests beta-carotene, it changes to Vitamin A. It is purely good for eyesight, immune system and also the skin. Consume carrot everyday, and within weeks you would notice changes in your eyesight.

• Three B’s – Bell peppers, Brussels sprouts and broccoli.
These are said to be the super foods for eyes. They contain high amount of Vitamin C which is effective in preventing or slowing down age-related macular degeneration, cataracts and glaucoma. This is how to make your vision better.
• Spinach.
Not only it maintains a good immune system, it also helps improve your eyesight naturally. This is a must-consume-at-least-three-times-a-week food. It contains beta-carotene, Vitamin C, lutein and anti-oxidants. They help keep the eyes safe from oxidative stress and act like a natural sunscreen to your eyes.

4)    Barefoot Walking
Walking is most important part for human being; it should be included as a daily routine. It is more effective for eyes when walking in the morning along with barefoot on green grass. If you decided to gain your eye power once again then stay tuned to walking barefoot.

5)    Get adequate sleep
When you don’t get enough sleep, you tend to deal with terrible headaches and blurry vision. It will also hurt to keep your eyes open for a long time. When you eyes don’t rest well, they get tired and will not be able to perform their functions. Allow your eye muscles to relax by sleeping at least eight hours daily.

6)     Bat those eyelids
Blinking is the eyes natural way to renew the moisture in the eyes and give it some much needed relief. To help your eyes relax, make it a habit to blink after every five to six seconds.
7)    Drink plenty of water.
Remember that the human body is made up of 60% water. If your body lacks of hydration, your eyes will feel the impact too. They might feel a little blurry, tired and dry. Hence, increase your water intake. Drink 8 tall glasses of water per day.
8)    Protect Your Eyes To Improve Your Vision-
Avoid exposing the eyes in harsh sun rays to improve your vision. Wear a sun hat and sun glasses to protect your eyes from the strong glare of the sun. You should use sun glasses even in winters especially when taking part in winter sports. Always wear swim gear for the eyes while swimming to protect the eyes from chlorinated water of the pool. Read and work in well illuminated area to avoid eye strain and to improve your vision naturally.
These are all the tips and remedies on how to make your vision better. If you are dealing with lazy eye problem, make sure to exercise you eyes often.
Make sure you follow these simple remedies in your daily routine..

WAYS TO GET PRETTIER FROM BEAUTY SLEEP

You might think you're off the clock when it comes to your beauty routine while you sleep, but your slumber hours play an important role in how you look. "Beauty sleep is essential for repairing the skin.  If you want your skin and hair to look younger and healthier during the day, it's time to adopt these nighttime habits.

a)   Think while you drink

Poor sleep leaves your skin vulnerable to dryness and dehydration, so make sure you're not hitting the sack parched. When you're out-out, make soda water with fresh lime or coconut water your mixers of choice — it will counteract some of the dehydrating effects of booze. Avoid sugary, caffeinated drinks such as cola, fruit juices and energy drinks, which can unsettle sleep and leave your skin thirsty.

b)   Keep makeup remover by the bed

No matter how tired/tipsy you are, going to bed with your makeup on will only make matters worse the morning after (clogged pores, irritated eyes, leaving makeup residue on your pillow... we could go on). Make it less of a chore by keeping some good-quality face wipes by the bed for a fast, effective cleanse. It's not ideal to rely on convenience cloths every night in place of a deeper clean, but on late nights they're skin saviors.

c)    Use a silk pillow case

These fibers will keep you from waking up with a bird's nest on top of your head, and their texture softens wrinkles and fine lines because it causes less friction between your skin and the pillowcase. It provides some extra slip, preventing wrinkle formation and hair breakage.

d)   Create a peaceful sleeping environment

Make your bedroom an oasis for relaxation and healing from daily stressors. No phones or TVs should be in the bedroom.

e)    Get plenty of sleep

Lack of sleep causes the skin to look pale and tired because the circulation has been impaired. In addition, it's important to get a good night's sleep because sleep deprivation also causes stress, which can aggravate all skin conditions, including acne, eczema, and psoriasis.

f)     No Snacking Before Bed

There are a couple of reasons why you should avoid snacking before bed. First, if you go to bed with a full digestive system your body will have to focus more on digesting food instead of sleeping. Second, snacking can raise your blood sugar and inhibit sleep.

g)   Prevent pillow face
Ironically, sleep can also contribute to wrinkle formation. And we're not talking temporary pillow marks, but sleep wrinkles, as they're known, which are believed to be a result of the skin being pushed and pulled against the pillow, damaging skin-smoothing collagen over time. It’s said that- Squishing your face into a pillow for approximately 2500 hours per year is like ironing wrinkles into the skin. Future-proof your face by sleeping on your back - lying face down or sideways on your pillow can help cause lines to form.

h)      Tire yourself out throughout the day so that you'll be nice and sleepy when it comes to bedtime:

Engage in some form of physical activity during the day, but not just before bedtime. As well as keeping you fit and healthy, exercise will also use up your energy, leaving you tired enough to sleep in the evening. Even if you just walk to the shops instead of getting the bus, or taking the dog out for a fast paced walk, it's better than sitting around all day. However you shouldn't do exercise for at least 2 hours before you plan on going to bed. This is because it boosts your endorphins and blood circulation, making it hard to doze off.

i)      Wear your hair up — but not in a super-tight bun.

It's a good idea to keep your hair out of your face while you're sleeping to keep its natural oils from wreaking havoc on your complexion. But avoid pulling it into a really tight bun or ponytail because that can cause hair breakage, especially around the hairline.

j)      Take a Hot Shower or Bath before Bedtime

Many of the other tips on this list can be seen annoying or inconvenient, but here is one that we can all rally behind. Pamper yourself with a hot bath or shower in the late evening. This will raise your body temperature. Your temperature will begin to fall when you are going to bed, making it easier to fall asleep.

You might not have been taking these things seriously until now. But no more! Your beauty and your sleep both are important to look prettier! So what will you prefer? Waking up for no reason, or dozing off? Beauty awaits!
